Everything we do, in one place.
Every home has a life of its own, and our job is to help it breathe. We are organised by the space rather than the trade, which is why this list looks different from a builder's. Some of it is a single afternoon. Some of it is a room, a garden or an entire property between tenants. All of it is priced in writing before we start.
Fifteen ways we look after homes
Treat this as a set of starting points rather than a menu. Most jobs borrow from two or three of these, plenty are a single afternoon, and if what you need is not here at all, ask anyway. The odd job nobody else wants is usually the one we are best placed to do.
The Room Refresh
One room taken from tired to finished: every trade it needs, one written price. Our signature service, and the clearest expression of how we work.

The whole list, taken seriously. Sticking doors, dripping taps, failed sealant, loose banisters and the odd job you assumed nobody would want.
Read more →Decorating & finishing
Nine parts preparation, one part paint. Rooms, hallways, woodwork and external joinery, done so it still looks right two winters later.
Read more →Joinery & restoration
Repair is an act of optimism. Doors, gates, shelving, sash windows and period features restored where restoring is the better answer.
Read more →Storage & loft
The best storage disappears into daily life. Alcoves, lofts, garages and the under-stairs cupboard that could be doing far more.
Read more →Gardening & outdoors
The outside is half the home. Lawns, hedges, planting schemes, pergolas built to fit, fences, gutters and year-round upkeep.
Read more →Woodburning stoves
The hearth is the heart of the home. Openings, hearths, oak beams and finishing, with registered specialists for the regulated steps.

Technology you never notice: hidden ethernet, wifi that flows, and light that knows the hour. Built on Home Assistant, running in your house.
Read more →A warmer, quieter home
Draughts stopped, insulation topped up, secondary glazing where it earns its place. Comfort first, with the energy saving as the happy consequence.

Small changes that let a much-loved home go on working: a solid banister, better light on the stairs, a bathroom that stops being a worry.

Both ends of the same upheaval. Sale Ready before you list, Welcome Home for the first fortnight in a house that is not yet quite yours.
Read more →The Home Health Check
A proper walk round your whole house and a written report: what needs doing now, what to watch, and what to leave well alone.

Stewardship as a service. Seasonal, quarterly or monthly visits so small things are caught while they are still small.
Read more →For landlords
Void Refreshes between tenants, Portfolio Care across several properties, and Tenant Direct so your tenant rings us rather than you.
Read more →For letting agents
One dependable contractor across a managed portfolio, with tenant liaison handled and records fit for a landlord report.

A list of small annoyances that has grown too long, in which case repairs is the honest starting point. One room that has been waiting years, which is a Room Refresh. Or a whole house you cannot quite see clearly any more, which is what the Home Health Check exists for.
You do not have to decide. Ring, describe the situation in your own words, and we will tell you which of these it actually is.
Sometimes the most valuable advice we can offer is: leave it for now.
The services on this site are starting points rather than a menu. They can be combined, taken apart, or reduced to the single job you actually want doing. If all you need is a curtain pole hung, a patch of damaged wall made good or a sticking door eased, ring and ask for exactly that.
Not sure which of these it is?
Describe the problem rather than the service. That is usually a faster route to the right answer, and the first conversation costs nothing.
