Some of it is a single afternoon. Some of it is a room, a garden or an entire property between tenants. All of it is priced in writing before we start.

Fifteen ways we look after homes

Treat this as a set of starting points rather than a menu. Most jobs borrow from two or three of these, plenty are a single afternoon, and if what you need is not here at all, ask anyway. The odd job nobody else wants is usually the one we are best placed to do.

The Room Refresh

One room taken from tired to finished: every trade it needs, one written price. Our signature service, and the clearest expression of how we work.

Repairs & maintenance

The whole list, taken seriously. Sticking doors, dripping taps, failed sealant, loose banisters and the odd job you assumed nobody would want.

Decorating & finishing

Nine parts preparation, one part paint. Rooms, hallways, woodwork and external joinery, done so it still looks right two winters later.

Joinery & restoration

Repair is an act of optimism. Doors, gates, shelving, sash windows and period features restored where restoring is the better answer.

Storage & loft

The best storage disappears into daily life. Alcoves, lofts, garages and the under-stairs cupboard that could be doing far more.

Gardening & outdoors

The outside is half the home. Lawns, hedges, planting schemes, pergolas built to fit, fences, gutters and year-round upkeep.

Woodburning stoves

How to choose

Most people start in one of three places

A list of small annoyances that has grown too long, in which case repairs is the honest starting point. One room that has been waiting years, which is a Room Refresh. Or a whole house you cannot quite see clearly any more, which is what the Home Health Check exists for.

You do not have to decide. Ring, describe the situation in your own words, and we will tell you which of these it actually is.

Sometimes the most valuable advice we can offer is: leave it for now.

Or just the one thing

The services on this site are starting points rather than a menu. They can be combined, taken apart, or reduced to the single job you actually want doing. If all you need is a curtain pole hung, a patch of damaged wall made good or a sticking door eased, ring and ask for exactly that.
